The Mobile Office Phone System: Accessed from Smartphones over public cellular networks, OnRelay’s Mobile Cloud Exchange (MCX) is a turn-key, software-only, enterprise-grade office phone solution. OnRelay eliminates the need and expense of land-line desk phones and their associated on-premises hardware, software and infrastructure. MCX works over any public cellular network and does not rely on a broadband VoIP infrastructure.
MCX is used via OnRelay’s Office Phone Smartphone App. The Office Phone app lets you manage both your office phone calls and your personal calls from one mobile device. You can seamlessly and effortlessly send and receive calls using either your business phone number or your personal cell number, switching from one to the other instantaneously. With Office Phone, you will never again miss a business call because you were away from your office!
MCX provides full PBX functionality even when roaming internationally. MCX does not tie a company or individual to any specific mobile operator or handset provider as no network integration is required.
The MCX server is a cloud based software system that can be installed on any standard private or public cloud virtualisation platform. No up front infrastructure investments are therefore required to deploy a new server, and, as a result, MCX is highly cost effective in a non-tenanted hosted configuration ideal for large and mid-size customers. Smaller customers may also be provisioned with their own server image or by using the MCX tenanting feature on a shared server image.
